ASHTANGA VINYASA YOGA: Kathryn Shay– Certified Vinyasa instructor Wednesday evenings at 5:45 pm and Friday mornings at 8:45 am. The asanas are linked together in synchronization and breath. This dynamic effect allows heat to build up in the body and helps loosen the muscles. It is possible to go deeper into a stretch than if doing the posture in a more traditional way. Upstairs@111 is dedicated to representing the diverse musical, and literary talent of the Greenwich area and the promotion of visiting artists. Whether it's on the intimate stage, listening to live music, or looking at artwork the goal is to create an atmosphere conducive to creativity. Upstairs@111 promotes a diverse range of expression including, and not limited to painting and photography, classical and folk music, jazz, films, and literary readings. A comfortable atmosphere, excellent acoustics and lighting makes this a unique space. (Meditation) KINGFISHER SANGHA is a Buddhist community dedicated to mindful living in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh, the Engaged Buddhist practice of compassionate action, and study. Kingfisher Sangha gathers to practice together on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:00 pm Upstairs@111 and on Sunday afternoons from 4:30 to 6:00 pm at the Eastern Parkway United Methodist Church in Schenectady, NY.
